The Trattoria Le Zie is a picture-book restaurant: authentic good food, the whole family helps, the locals sit at the tables and the menu is presented by the charming hostess Carmela Perrone herself. If you want to eat here, you first have to ring the doorbell. Le Zie has been a familiar and personal place for 13 years. The house specialities include taieddha, mussels au gratin with pecorino and grated bread, as well as the famous Melanzane alle parmigiana, a heavenly aubergine gratin with parmesan. But also the pasta with cherry heir and a perfectly cooked sugo is a poem. A trattoria to fall in love with – and to judge by the photos and postcards hanging on the walls, this is probably the case for every guest.
